What is the SMC
SuperMini Challenge Inc is a non-profit, Motorsport Australia–affiliated club, run by an elected volunteer committee for the benefit of its members. Since 2022 we've given newcomers and seasoned racers a place to go wheel-to-wheel without breaking the bank.
Two classes, two championships and eight rounds across Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia. A friendly paddock that wants you to succeed.

Cooper Class
The Cooper Class is the entry class, built on the BMW R53 Cooper S. Cars remain largely OEM with a defined list of permitted modifications, control components and a minimum weight — keeping the field evenly matched and costs contained.
Unlimited Class
The Unlimited Class runs to Motorsport Australia Group 3D Sport Sedan regulations with SMC amendments. Engine internals and gearbox are free and no minimum weight applies; cars remain front-wheel-drive Minis on a control tyre.
