A bumper field of 19 SuperMinis filled the paddock at Sydney Motorsport Park for Round 2 of the Rubber Craft Australian Championship — one of the biggest grids the series has assembled.

From paddock to pit lane the colour was on full display, with the full spread of R53 Cooper S race cars lined up wheel-to-wheel before heading out on track. It is exactly the kind of turnout that has made the SuperMini Challenge one of the most popular grassroots categories going around.

With a field this deep, the racing was as close as ever — tight packs, plenty of door-to-door action and a great atmosphere right through the field. A huge thanks to everyone who made the trip down to Eastern Creek and to Motor Racing Australia for hosting.

Next up the Australian Championship heads to The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia on 21–23 August. Keep an eye on the calendar for the live countdown.
