Zane Goddard took the weekend at Morgan Park, winning Round 3 of the Cooper Class for CLAID Racing on 97 points and pocketing the $300 round-winner cheque.
The fight for the minor placings could hardly have been closer. Josh Mills and Brock Gilchrist finished level on 93 points apiece, forcing a countback to qualifying position to separate them. Mills came out on top to claim second, with Gilchrist rounding out the podium in third.
It was exactly the kind of racing the SuperMini Challenge is built on — evenly matched cars, a full grid and results decided by the smallest of margins.
On to the next round. With the field this tight, there's everything to play for.
